The system is based on a thoroughly applied component concept. It can be readily adapted to the needs of individual customers and is equipped to handle the changeover to the year 2000 and the Euro. IFS Applications is one of the first business systems in the market that has been developed entirely using object technology.

Technology and Architecture
We started the development of IFS Applications employing object-oriented technology as early as 1994. The first systems in this generation were placed in operation in a number of customer companies in the winter of 1996. The entire project was completed in the summer of 1997.
IFS Applications today consists of some 40 standardized business modules that can be assembled and installed in a number of predefined combinations or freely.
